Health Advisory Panels - Dr Beverly Searle BSc(Hons), PhD, CBiol, MIBiol

Beverly Searle is CEO of Unique, an international charity supporting and informing the families of children born sick and disabled because of a rare chromosome disorder.  Formerly a post-doctoral research biologist, Beverly’s professional and personal lives collided with the birth of her second child in 1990. Daughter Jenny has lost part of chromosome 18 and is consequently profoundly disabled and has very complex health needs.   Beverly is passionate about improving the lives of sick and disabled children, has worked tirelessly in the rare disorders world for the last 18 years and is proud to be able to put her wide and varied experience to good use as lay member of WellChild’s Grant Review Panel.
